Brisbane International Airport Pick up Procedure:
Update: 13/11/2019 @10:30pm
In an effort to reduce costs to drivers we are changing our pickup procedure for Brisbane International Airport. You are no longer required to enter into the ground transport area and pay the levy charged by the airport.
When a customer arrives they are to follow the green signs to the public pick up area. They take the lift or travelator to Level 1 and continue to follow the Passenger Pick-Up signage outside and along the pathway to the right.. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and make your way to the Passenger Pick-Up kerbside zone to wait for you. When they are there they are to text you to advise they are waiting.
You are then to make your way from the holding area ( aka shell/McDonalds service centre carpark) to the through the roundabout and keep to the left of the ramp. As you drive towards the International Terminal move into the green Passenger Pick-Up lane. Collect a ticket, enter the pick-up area and pull into the kerbside zone to collect your passengers. For security reasons, drivers should remain with their vehicles at all times. If your passengers are not ready for collection, you may be asked by Kerbside Officers to move on allowing the traffic to keep flowing. Once passengers have been collected, make your way to the exit and onto your next destination.
You must follow these instructions because you can no longer enter the ground transport area without first going through the rideshare pickup area which is just a waste of time. Plus doing it this way means no airport fee.
